Run for Missions 2010 April Update

The First Ever Run for Missions 5K & 10K will be held in Haviland, KS on Sunday, October 31st, at 3:00 pm, starting and ending at Barclay College. Now anyone can run or walk for Missions and you don't have to run 100 miles to do so! Mark your calendars and plan to participate! Please pass on the word to others! This event is open to the community and everyone is invited!

In preparation/advance of the race, I am looking for sponsors for the 5K/10K Runs who want advertising and/or want to help out a good cause! We have openings for at least two primary sponsors (for $500 o.b.o. we'll name the race after your business/organization!) and several additional sponsors (with sponsorship gifts of $100 - $250) who will also get advertised on all race promotional materials. All sponsorship income beyond the organizational expenses for the run will go to the Run for Missions scholarship fund. Target date for locking in Sponsorships is around June 1st so race promotional materials can be sent out. Contact Adam Monaghan at
adam@efcmaym.org or 316-267-0391 for more information.

Registration and More Information for the 5K & 10K Runs will be available later on in the summer. Details as they become available will be posted to
http://www.run4missions.blogspot.com/.

The 3rd annual Run for Missions 100 Mile Solo & Relay Run will take place, starting in Wichita, Monday, November 1, and end in Haviland on Tuesday morning, November 2, 2010. You can run the whole 100 miles as a solo runner or form a relay team of however many you want like 2, 4, or 10 or more. Or you are invited to come out and run any section of the run just for fun as a pacer/participant. This year's fundraising process won't officially start until July but checks can be sent anytime to EFC-MAYM, c/o “Run for Missions”, 2018 W. Maple. St., Wichita, KS 67213.

The Run for Missions benefits a scholarship fund for students preparing to serve as missionaries.
